The North Yorkshire Moors |
The "Gang of Five" recently had a long weekend on the North Yorkshire Moors for another glorious weekend pushing, carrying and even riding their bikes! We had based ourselves in the "Blacksmith';s Country Inn" near t oRodesdale Abbey on the southern edge of the Moors.
We started the first of three rides from close to the infamous Sutton Bank with its 1 in 4 hill! Within 20 mins. of setting off, it came on the rain heavily for around 20 minutes or so and the hoped-for stop at the ruined Rievaulx Abbey (with it's tea room!) never materialised as we decided to keep riding. The view below is after the first proper climb of the day and shows us taking a welcome break.
Details of the rides and other images with be added in the coming days.
